This "fix" does not work in Vista or Windows 7. It's a well known fact that CPL mouse fix only works in XP. If you think CPL mouse fix does anything in Vista or 7 then you are experiencing the effects of placebo. WCAFIX will remove acceleration entirely in All versions of windows except Windows 7 by disabling the root cause in the drivers.

Hey guys, I'm a Vista x64 user, I'm currently using a Razer Lachesis, and in my experience, the reg fix is unnecessary when using Razer's drivers. I've tested 3 configurations - enhance pointer precision off with the fix applied, enhance pointer precision off without the fix applied, and enhance pointer precision on without the fix applied, always with pointer acceleration disabled in the razer control panel. With and without the fix, my mouse performs exactly the same as long as that enhance precision box is unchecked. When the box IS checked, I still don't have acceleration - my mouse just tracks at about half it's normal speed (unchecked one side of my mousepad to the other is ~5 rotations, checked it's just over 2).

Additionally, if turning off vsync fixed your problems, it was not a mouse acceleration problem. I haven't seen it happen often enough to identify the cause, but in some configurations vsync causes mouse input to be delayed. I've personally had it as bad as a full second behind in DoD:S, immediately cleared up by turning off vsync. This was a couple years back with a whole different system, and I haven't had it happen again since.

This does not remove mouse accel from vista 64. I applied your changes then tested my pointer distance to mouse distance ratio. At half a foot per second with 800 dpi i was my pointer was gaining 9/16ths of an inch per 1 inch that the mouse traveled. These tests were done using a Logitech G5 laser mouse.

I am also using the Logitech G5 laser with Vista 64 and 7 64. Have you tried going into the Logitech Drivers and disabling pointer acceleration?

i know what mouse acceleration is, i applied the patch, and there was instantly a noticable difference.

Worked for me, are you sure its not in the game you are trying to play.. as far as i know it disables it in desktop.

Sorry man.. it simple does not remove acc. if ppl say "yes thank u it worked" they rly dont feel what mouse acc is... its still there ;)
