Script to check if a Justin.tv stream is live.

May 27th, 2011 in PHP, Programming

I help run a website called SaskGamers.com, a few of the users on this site stream their in-game view over the internet for others to see. I tried to mimic teamliquid.net’s Live User Stream pane. At first I wrote this in JavaScript, but then I realized that essentially what I was did was a cross-site scripting attack, scrapped that and wrote it in PHP.

Here is the gist:

Fatal error: Class ‘DOMDocument’ Fix

February 27th, 2009 in PHP, Programming

When coding in PHP have you ever received the error:
Fatal error: Class ‘DOMDocument’ not found in /***/*** ?

Basically PHP cannot access the XML extension for DOM.

For Freebsd, you want to install the php5-extensions port and configure for DOM support.

For linux, the port you need is php5-xml

Hope this helps!
